SportsOne is built to be read by everyone, on any device, with or without a mouse.

What we do

• Keyboard. Every link, menu, dropdown, carousel and filter can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
• Screen readers. Pages use real headings in order, landmarks, and labels on every control. Photographs carry meaningful alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than described.
• Motion. The carousels rotate on their own, but stop while you are hovering, swiping or tabbing through them — and if your system asks for reduced motion, they do not rotate at all.
• Contrast. Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast in both the light and dark themes.
• Zoom and text size. The site reflows to 320px and to 200% zoom without loss of content, and nothing scrolls sideways.
• No time limits. Nothing on the site expires or times out as you read.

Where we know we fall short

• Some archive photography carries a generic description rather than a specific one. New stories are captioned properly at the point of publication.
• Live scores are compiled by hand and update when the site is rebuilt, so a screen reader will not announce a score change while the page is open.
